A man whose mother was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar by wearing a shirt quoting her own words during the annual anniversary ceremony at Ground Zero on Wednesday.

Nicholas Haros Jr. wore a black T-shirt with the words “Some people did something,” a quote Ms. Omar used to describe the terrorist attacks during a Muslim event earlier this year.

“Today I am here to respond to you exactly who did what to whom. Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done,” Mr. Haros said. “There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion?

“On that day, 19 Islamic terrorist members of al Qaeda killed over 3,000 people and caused billions of dollars of economic damage. Is that clear?” he continued. “But as to whom, I was attacked. Your relatives and friends were attacked. Our constitutional freedoms were attacked. And our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles were attacked. That’s what some people did. Got that now?

“We are here today, congresswoman, to tell you and the squad just who did what to whom. Show respect in honoring them, please. American patriotism and your position demand it. For God and country, amen,” he said.

Mr. Haros‘ mother, Frances Haros, was killed in the World Trade Center at age 76, USA Today reported.

Mr. Haros spoke out during last year’s 9/11 ceremony by criticizing politicians for using the victims of 9/11 “as props.”
